Adrift: Breakaway explores the delicate tension between connection and release.
Crafted from ocean plastic in tones of soft blue, aqua, and white, the three separate forms hover in quiet suspension, each one moving slightly apart, yet still echoing the others.
Made from washed-up rope, netting, and synthetic fragments, these materials, once tangled and destructive, are reimagined here as gentle, organic shapes, suggesting sea creatures, currents, or drifting reefs. The work captures a moment of transition: the point at which something begins to loosen, to shift, to break away.
At its core, this piece is about change, about letting go of what no longer serves, and imagining new forms from what remains.
Adrift: Breakaway invites us to reflect on the ocean’s silent stories and the possibility of renewal within the debris.
